Launch of the Nordic-Baltic Digital Inclusion Indicator Tool

Nordregio has developed a new tool to support the monitoring of digital inclusion across the region. This tool will be officially launched at 5G Techritory in Riga, one of Europe’s leading forums on 5G policy, innovation, and infrastructure.

As digitalisation continues to reshape societies, ensuring digital inclusion becomes essential to achieving a truly connected Nordic and Baltic region. However, measuring and monitoring progress in digital inclusion comes with its own set of challenges.

The Nordic and Baltic Digital Inclusion Indicator Mapping Tool is a valuable resource for municipalities, researchers, and NGOs. It allows users to track progress, compare digital inclusion strategies across countries, and engage with data over time. The tool, which will be freely accessible online, offers insights into how digital equality is evolving in the region. Anna Vasilevskaya, GIS Analyst at Nordregio, will present the tool’s features and demonstrate its practical applications on the Policy & Strategy Stage at 5G Techritory.

This tool was developed as part of Nordregio’s Digital Inclusion in Action research project. It provides insights into the indicators and mechanisms contributing to digital inequality in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The tool also showcases the newly developed Multidimensional Digital Inclusion Index (MDII), which highlights the various factors impacting digital inclusion in the region.

Join us for the official launch and presentation at 5G Techritory. This session will be streamed live at live.5gtechritory.com. The forum brings together key players from industry, academia, and government to discuss the role of 5G and advanced digital solutions in shaping future societies.
