Meet our staff

At Nordregio, diverse expertise comes together to address the Nordic Region’s most pressing challenges. Our backgrounds range from regional development and urban planning to communications and cartography.
Meet Lisa Rohrer, Research fellow
Lisa is a creative and critical thinker who dwells on social and cultural questions related to urban spaces. Her academic and professional experience has included mixed-methods research in topics such as urban design, identity and movement (mobility, migration, tourism), nature in cities, and urban planning language.
Over 50 people work at Nordregio, situated on the island of Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. We are from all over the Nordic Region, the Baltics and beyond.
Meet Daniel Pils, Junior GIS Analyst/Cartographer
With a background in Urban and Regional Planning focusing on GIS, statistics and cartography, Daniel is particularly interested in using spatial and quantitative data for interdisciplinary research related to housing, demography and sustainability (social and environmental). By analysing and visualising data, his ambition is to identify and understand the many processes that shape and form cities and communities in Europe and the Nordic Region.
