Nordregio hosts second Innovation Policy Summit

On 21-22 February, The Stockholm Innovation Summit gathers international stakeholders to discuss interregional collaboration and cluster development in the areas of smart specialization and the circular economy.

The event forms part of the Interreg Europe Higher project which promotes learning and best practices in the design and implementation of smart specialization strategies from across nine different European regions.

The first day of the event will focus on building innovation clusters and partnerships in a Post-Brexit world and the second day will look at the circular economy, sharing best practice from around Europe. The second day will also provide an opportunity to take part in study visits to a testbed for smart city innovation in Stockholm and a Circular Technology Cluster.

Along with the other HIGHER project partners from Catalunya, Sweden, Lithuania, Slovenia, Italy (Marche and Abruzzo regions), Portugal (Norte region) and Macedonia (Central Macedonia), delegates will have an opportunity to meet and network and hear presentations on transnational cooperation, smart specialisation, interregional cooperation post-Brexit as well as to share best practice examples and ideas on clustering, transnational partnerships and circular economy.
