Summer school: Regional Development in a post-crisis and post-globalise world

The Summer School course “Regional Development in Post-Crisis and Post-Global World“ organised by the faculty of economics at Split University in Croatia, will take place between the 22nd-24th of May, 2019.

The summer school invites graduate students and professionals in the field to gain better understanding on key challenges for regional and urban development today and discuss with international academic experts and practitioners.

Alberto Giacometti and Jukka Teräs from Nordregio are leading a lecture on Regional Economic and Social Resilience: Empirical Research Results from the Nordic Regions. This session builds-up on the results of empirical research conducted in the Nordic Countries. Especial emphasis is placed on the asymmetric impacts of global threats on the territories. The intention is to add a qualitative perspective behind regions’ vulnerabilities and distinct ways in which they respond to global and local challenges and threats.
