In terms of the population aged 15-64 years, the Nordic overrepresentation of males is clearly visible with 97 females per 100 males on average and in the Nordic Arctic this overrepresentation is even more evident with 93 females per 100 males. In addition the imbalance between urban and rural and also between eastern and western countries is pronounced.
