Alvdal in Norway: Building on an entrepreneurial spirit

Alvdal is a geographically large, but demographically small, municipality in the eastern part of central Norway. It is ideally situated, close to the regional centres of Tynset and Røros municipalities, which has probably helped maintain a relatively stable population throughout the last decade.

The vitality of the labour market is one of the key success factors for maintaining a steady population. Alvdal is a great example with a positive perception of the labour market whether it is the availability of jobs, the nature of the jobs offered or the ability to create new businesses through entrepreneurship.
