The map shows the “NUTS 3” level regions in the Nordic countries, according to the pan-European classification system Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS).

Within the Nordic region, the number of NUTS 3 regions per country is as follows:

Denmark – Landsdel 11

Finland – Maakunta/Landskap 19

Iceland – Hagskýrslusvæði 2

Norway – Fylke 19

Sweden – Län 21

Greenland and the Faroe Islands, not formally part of the NUTS classification system, are here considered as one entity each, equal to their respective national level (similar to NUTS 0).
