The EDYNORA project has been selected as a good practice by the European Commission and is now published on the Rural Pact Community Platform, together with other recognised good practices.
The Rural Pact provides a framework for cooperation between public authorities, civil society, businesses, academia and citizens at the European, national, regional and local levels. It contributes to the shared goals of the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas by facilitating interaction on rural matters. The Pact aims to foster mutual inspiration across all levels of governance and to mobilise public authorities and stakeholders to act on the needs and aspirations of rural residents.
"The selection of EDYNORA by the European Commission’s Rural Pact Community Platform recognises the project’s strong contribution to sustainable rural development and its alignment with European priorities for resilient rural communities, highlighting the central role of education in enhancing the attractiveness, vitality, and social inclusion of rural areas." (Anna Berlina, Project manager)
The EDYNORA project examines how higher-education provision outside major cities can improve youth retention and strengthen rural and regional development in the Nordics. The project’s publications and the Higher Education and VET Portal serve as valuable resources for practitioners, public-sector actors, researchers, planners and policymakers with an interest in education and regional development.
