Spatial story
I was born and raised in Stockholm, but I’ve always had an interest in experiencing other countries, regions and cultures, whether it is through media consumption, traveling or living in other countries or cities. I think that is a good way to gain new and other perspectives, even if they are just a bit different. I am a firm believer that a plurality of perspectives generally is a good thing, and hence a supporter of international cooperation and dialogue.
This combined with an interest in current affairs, social issues and communication has shaped where I’ve lived and the places I’ve worked at. I studied political science at Uppsala University in Sweden and at University of Connecticut, USA. From there I was fortunate enough to do an internship at The Swedish representation to the European Union in Brussels and eventually ended up in Västerås, Sweden, working with politics. Perhaps not vastly different places in terms of culture and perspective, but I think it has given me a broader view nonetheless.
After working as a press officer for the governmental department of infrastructure in Sweden, I ended up at Nordregio, which I think quite neatly combines my interest and believes.
