Join Nordregio’s morning talks at the World Circular Economy Forum, 6 June

Research Fellow Nelli Mikkola and Senior Research Fellow Jukka Teräs will host morning sessions 6 June, starting at 8.30 am: Sustainable value-creation from the sea – how and why? Experiences from Iceland, and Can we turn the (heavy) industries circular? Experiences from the Nordic Industrial Symbiosis Network.

 

5-7 June, we will hear about world’s best circular economy solutions and meet the most recognised experts and decision makers in the field. Be at the epicentre of circular economy with 1,500 key people at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki.

8.30-9.00 Morning talk #1: Sustainable Value-Creation from the sea – how and why? Experiences from Iceland with Sigrún Elsa Smáradóttir, the Head of Industry Solutions and Consulting at the Icelandic Food and Biotech R&D institute Matis.

See the coolest innovations around fish and marine resources, learn about the benefits for companies and societies, and find out which policies and infrastructure are needed for true blue growth: What is Matis and why is circular blue growth so important (for Iceland and globally)?
