The Nordic Region is recognised for its robust and inclusive economic model, but it also faces complex challenges, such as economic disparities, fiscal uncertainties, and the need to align growth with sustainability goals. As global and regional transitions accelerate, economic policy in the Nordics must adapt to support resilience, inclusivity, and green development.  

Nordregio contributes to these efforts by providing research and insights on critical topics, with a focus on regional and local economies. This includes the socio-economic impacts of green transitions, the role of fiscal policy during periods of uncertainty, and strategies to foster inclusive growth. A key part of this work is the Nordic Economic Policy Review, an annual publication presenting the latest economic research on pressing policy issues.
