Nordic-Baltic Demographic Vulnerability 2015 indicated by age group 15-24
Map Facts
This map shows demographic vulnerability in Nordic-Baltic regions based on the indicator age-group 15-24 years. Under this indicator, regions are deemed to be vulnerable when the percentage of the population aged 15-24 years is less than 12.02%. In the majority of regions in Finland Estonia, and Latvia countries the share of the population in this age group is below this threshold On the other hand, in most regions in Norway, Denmark, and Lithuania the share of the population in this age group is above the threshold. There is a large variance among regions in Sweden.
Age group 15-24 years is one of 10 indicators used to measure demographic vulnerability in the Nordic-Baltic Region. The map “Nordic-Baltic Demographic Vulnerabilities”, takes in all 10 indicators to provide an overall picture of demographic vulnerabilities at the regional level.
