The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF) support programmes that contribute to the European Union’s strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
The European Commission uses different kinds of indicators to measure the impact of these programmes. This project takes stock of existing indicators and proposes new indicators for post-2020 ERDF and CF interventions.
As a part of the study, Nordregio will conduct interviews with national authorities about their experience of working with existing indicators. Nordregio will assess the possibility of expanding the current list of common output indicators, which measure how programme resources are spent. The study also assesses the feasibility of developing a list of common direct result indicators to measure the impact and benefit of programme interventions for the target population. The focus of the study will be on the following areas: education, labour market, social inclusion and administrative capacity. The results of the study will be published in a report.
